The first international pageant of 2025 took place in China between January1st-12th 2025. And of course Africans @ Miss World Tourism 2024/5 flew in from Africa and the diaspora, to make it count. Let us look at the countries that represented and made us proud in far away China.

In no particular order, Africans @ Miss World Tourism 2024/5 were Mali, Guinea, Ghana, Suriname, Namibia, Cote D’ivoire and South Africa. In addition were Nigeria, Burundi, Congo, Trinidad and Tobago and Niger all in Shenzhen.
Starting with Namibia, we have stunning model, Twiggy Simone Ndaudonya with eyes to die for.

She made Africa proud as seventh runner-up in the Top 15 category.
Another one of the Africans @ Miss World Tourism 2024/5 who placed in the Top 20 is Precious Obisoso from Nigeria. Precious is a model and a veteran beauty queen. She was Miss Beauty of Africa back in 2019 at age twenty. Though she was Miss International Nigeria 2022, she has was unplaced in Japan that same year.

Next is Miss Burundi the winner of Miss Friendship Award. Right behind her is Cote D’ivoire who was first runner-up Best Bikini
Finally, Miss South Africa was First Runner-up Miss Photogenic Award bringing a close to our list of awardees at this pageant.

Apart from these awards, note that Mali and Burundi made a debut at this pageant. While breath-taking Suriname took all the activities in her stride.

In closing, we celebrate all the African queen-sisters who did not get placed but made us proud. We also miss queens from Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago and Sudan who had to cancel their attendance at the last minute.

It has been a minute folks, but here we are. And we have started 2025 with a powerful bang.
