It is another pageant season and the Miss Grand International Pageant is on. Join us as we have a quick look at the amazing melanin beauties at MGI ’24. The pageant opened on the fifth of October 2024. That is about three weeks ago and there are sixty-nine ladies from all over the world.
However, our concern is the beautiful ladies of African descent who are making us really proud. We have Nacira Amaral, Sharlynn Acha, Sefietou Kabengele, Sage-La’Parriea Yakubu, Shaika Lorvengie, Aya Kadji, Roseline Orji, Kristina James, Fatma Suleiman and Cora Lynn Griffen.
Our Focus :-
The first thing to know, is that we have a total of eleven beauties out of the sixty-nine contestants at the event. Also know that of the eleven, four of them are Africans in diaspora. And they are representing France, United States of America, Haiti and Trinidad & Tobago. Then the remaining seven are from the south, east and west of Africa only. No candidate showed up from the north of Africa.
Meet the Queens:-
The first queen to meet is Nacira Amaral from Angola, who is only twenty years old and so enthusiastic. You can tell she is here to have fun and win. Next meet up is with Sharlynn Acha from Cameroun who is only a year older than Miss Grand Angola. Right after her, we have Sefietou Kabengele who is representing France. We have featured her on this page a few months ago. She is twenty-six years old and she is wearing a skin cut.
The second set coming up after Sefietou, is Sage L. Yakubu who one can mistake for a fifteen year old but is actually a twenty-four year-old model. Then we have Haiti born Shaika Lorvengie, who is also twenty-four years old. Shaika is a model and actress. Ivory Coast or Cote D’voire has Aya Kadjo the entrepreneur representing her.
Third set following Ivory Coast is Twenty-three year old Roseline Orji from Nigeria, who is a film maker. Fatma Suleiman of Tanzania, a medical personnel is the next African contestant. She is also twenty-three years old. Kristina James of Trinidad and Tobago comes next on our list and she is twenty-five years old. Last but definitely not the least is Cora Lynn Griffen of the United States of America, who is twenty-eight years old.
Finally, one common feature of these beauties is their glowing skin even from the audience. The lights around them reflect on their skins like mirrors. Hopefully, the queens would excel at the interview segment of the competition.
