Last Sunday the 26th of November 2023 was a memorable day in Sangotedo. The king celebrated the anniversary of his coronation and invited his subjects to a feast.

The festival was evidence of the thoughtfulness of Oba Mohammad Saliu Akorede Olufunmi. There was plenty to eat and drink and usher in the yuletide.

A heavy downpour opened the event. It was a confirmation of his kingship. Of course, residents, family members and dignitaries adorned the occasion.

His Royal Highness Òbà Saheed Ademola the good looking Elegushi of Ikateland caused a stir when he arrived with his retinue of chiefs. The representative of the governor of Lagos state, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu was ably represented too.

The anniversary celebration made it a November to remember.
