And so ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Miss International 2024 kicked off today 29th October 2024. And the winner would be crowned on the 12th of November 2024. Also, the pageant is taking place in Japan as always and will run for two weeks. Over 70 ladies are in the competition.
As usual, let us check out the African Queens competing in Miss International 2024. Apart from nine of them from countries in Africa, we have two others from outside Africa. Though they are representing non-African countries, they are of African descent. Come on, let us meet the beautiful ones.
Meet the Queens
We are taking it first from the countries they represent. We have Cape Verde, UK, Sierra-Leone, Ethiopia, South Sudan, South Africa, Nigeria, Cote D’voire, British Virgin Islands, Ghana and Liberia.
Going forward, at Miss international 2024, we have Celestina Obeng from Ghana. In 2019, she was Miss Tourism Ghana. And now is selected this 2024/5 to bring the title home from Tokyo Japan.
Next is Hermela Nigussie of Ethiopia, who is twenty-three years old. In addition, she is an account and finance expert. Following her closely, we have Adacia Adonis from British Virgin Islands, who is twenty-five years old. Then comes Akysanna Viega of Cape Verde, is also twenty-five years old.
And there is Tiny Simbani of UK who is anything but tiny. Neither by profession or stature is she tiny; as a former Youth Mayor of Derby, ahem! Amylia Deng from South Sudan certainly looks different from the Sudanese stereotype. However, she has their standard tall, lean features.
Finally, welcome Kindness Wilson from Liberia who is a model. And then Yalissa Kargbo, former Sierra-Leone Miss Teen USA, who is also twenty-five years old. Closing the list is Perpetual Ukadike of Nigeria, who is an actor.
